I would like to warn everyone that uses Depo, that a very serious side affect can be the development of an auto immune diease called systemtic scleraderma. I have this because of my 10 year use of Depo.I thought at first all the pain was in my head and after 4 years of doctors to fiqure out what was wrong I finally got a diagnosis of Scleraderma. This has totally wreaked my health and life. I am now on chemo to try to stop the progression of this. I just wish I had been better informed and would have had all the information I needed before I made the choice of Depo.

What are some of the symptoms that you had? and How did your doctors finally determine what it was?

The very first systoms I had where swelling in the hands and feet, very high blood pressure and a feeling I had the flu all the time. I hurt all over. My hands and feet would turn blue from Raynaud's that is associated with Scleraderma. The I noticed that patches of my skin looked glossy and felt hard. It took 4 years for the doctors to finally figure out what it was because of the skin harding all over my body.It is now affecting my internal organs.
