Hi everyone! I just found this site over the weekend and have been lurking. I'm really finding it useful but I am so lost as to what I should be doing.

A little history:

When my son was born in 97 I was given the depo shot before being released from the hospital. I had horrible bleeding the entire time I was on it and was extremely depressed. Being a first time mother I attributed everything to the birth however I choose not to renew the shot. When my daughter was born in 99 my doctor convinced me that I wouldn't have the same s/e and if I did he could stop them. So stupidly I went ahead and got the shot again and yet again. I switched doctors because the first was doing nothing to help solve the bleeding issue. My new doctor sent my to a specialist because he wanted to do a hysterectomy to stop the bleeding! I told the specialist I was not having a hysterectomy considering I was only 21. We came to an agreement to give a d&c a shot and the day the procedure was scheduled for I finally quit bleeding.

The specialist ended up doing a bunch of test and making more referals for me because I was so physically ill. Illnesses that I in no way thought were related to the depo. Within a year I was diagnosed with IC (a bladder issue), IBS, had my gallbladder removed and was put on medication for depression. I was not getting better no matter what meds I was on. I eventually gave up all the meds thinking that if they weren't helping why take them.

Two more years went by bringing me to 25 years old with a new husband. We decided that we wanted to have another child. We were lucky and got pregnant a week after we were married but unfortunately lost it. 3 m/c and 2 years later we are still ttc. During the past two years I have seen more than a few doctors and I was diagnosed with a vaginal bacterial infection and moderate displaysia as well as estrogene dominance.

I've done 2 rounds of Femara and I'm currently on my 3 cycle of clomid hoping for that positive test that I don't see anywhere in sight.

To this day I still suffer from mild depression, insomnia, weight issues, painful intercourse (yeah makes ttc very fun), IBS, as well as a few allergies.

Ok so that was actually alot of history. So know that you know what my experience has been where do I start getting better? I know I feel better today than I did 6 years ago but I can't wait another 6 years or more to recover.

I've thought about seeing a naturopath but I live in the state of Iowa and evidently I'm SOL on that subject.

Can someone please help me figure out where to start?
sorry for being so long.
